Emma Watson as Beauty. That's really all I needed to know. Talk about an antidote to the current malaise (which I refuse to succumb to even as it threatens to color every corner of our world). Now as never before we need Entertainment with a capital E, for Escape. Watch this trailer for the new live action version of "Beauty and the Beast," joining the almost 14 million people who've seen it already, and see if you don't become a kid again ... even for just a second or two. I, for one, am grateful for the respite.
